There seems to be a contradiction in your post - it says you would rather have a PS3 because your a gamer - does not make sense.
I think microsoft are trying to cover all their bases.
Theyve got the hardcore crowd sorted with games like Gears2,Red alert3 etc
Nintendo - and Sony to a lesser extent - are still percieved as more family friendly thus they are tapping into the mainstream crowd to boost sales.
Titles like Banjo3 and Viva Pinata are slightly appealing to the masses but stick a cute avatar on a dashboard and people will love it.

As a massive Halo fan (ive even read the books) i can tell you that there are more Spartans that are still alive.
Bungie could use these, or, as creative visionaries im sure theyve got alot of ideas.
Furthermore people dont mind a long running franchise aslong as the games are decent.
People dont really moan about F...
I really hope this game does turn out to be the best fps ever because if its not then Sony are going to be embarrased.
Everyone and their grandma have hyped this to be so perfect gameplay wise and graphically that if it doesnt live up to it then heads will roll.
Especially with all the time and money Sony have invested in it.
To sum up then - if the game doesnt recieve average scores of lets say 9.6/9.5 across the board then people Will rip into it...
I really dont know why people give Halo a hard time.
The gameplay - improving over each game - is beautifully balanced.
The graphics arent anything special
The music and sound effects are superb
The online multiplayer is something incredibile.
I still remember my first online game of Halo2 - Rumble pit on lockout with Rocket starts for everyone! Talk about a baptism of fire.

MS already had Sony on the floor out cold at E3 - with Bungie there they would just be teabagging them so they thought that theyd go easy on them.
Ikaruga - thumbs up - probably one of the hardest games ever!

If the first half of the year is any indication,
The Wii will continue to sell, the 360 will continue to have the best games and the PS3rd will flounder.
But theres something about this title that seems just wrong - maybe fusing the squad stuff with zombies and wrapped up in a first person shooter stylee doesnt feel right..........maybe its just me.
Yep pretty much that - you have to have the game disc in the tray for verification purposes but after that the game comes completely from the HDD with no disc spinning.
Im sure if they released the game now it would be better than alot of racers on the market.
Hes going for perfection whilst games like GRID are already passing GT5p in graphics and gameplay.......

The graphics are in place and im sure the sound wont be lacking.
If the AI is anything below perfect then it will be compared to Halo and fail massively.
